Are you a leader who's passionate about empowering people with barriers to employment to achieve independence and meaningful work?

The Supported Internship Team Manager will lead a regional team across Essex, Southend and Thurrock, as part of ECL’s partnership with Colleges and Essex County Council, supporting individuals with barriers to employment in finding and sustaining work. Leading a team of Job Coaches across the county, you will ensure effective rostering of colleagues and maximisation of Access to Work support, including overseeing the administrative function of Access to Work claims.

You'll follow the Supported Internship Quality Framework (SIQF) model ensuring individuals are receiving high quality support and that Supported Internships are delivered as contractually agreed. You will drive the achievement of contractual targets, forecast accurately, and generate a flow of Supported Internship placements suitable for the individuals we support.

About You

To succeed as Supported Employment Team Manager, you'll need:
  • Supported Employment Level 3 Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 or above in Business Management (or equivalent; desirable)
  • Proven experience of leading on the delivery of a Supported Employment contract
  • Experience supporting Access to Work (ATW) claims 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to lead in a target driven environment
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and problem solve, including with rostering of staff
  • A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work
  • A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to travel
